I leave for the airport in about 3 hours. In between then, i have to go to the post office, shower, and pack a little more. I have no clue why i'm wasting my time on here. ha. Butttt, leave me love to come back to in a week! I'll be on the beach relaxing in the sunnnn!

soooo....this was pretty much the best weekend EVER!
it was the MASC state conference, which is always amazing.
butttt, it was even more amazing beacuse i won the Pat C. Boss award. Let's just say it's a big time award, and you get a plaque and all. and i cried more than i think i ever have. And for the first time in my life, i was speechless. I look up to a lot of the past award winners, and it feels amazing to be in the same arena as them.
Other than that, states was super fun. I loved my Northern kids and it was a blast staying up until wee hours of the night dong stupid stuff with them. And, how could i not love people who make up asian raps for me when i won the award. ha. i'm so glad i got to know them better, and met even more people. It made me more excited for college, and the rest of senior year and everything that's ahead of me.
Thank you sooooo much to all of my friends for your continual love and support, i couldn't ask for more. I love you all soooo much you don't even know.
*i guess this doesn't really help in my past entry. i mean, i'm not complaining, but this is another good AMAZING thing, and i'm just kinda wondering when it's gonna come crashing down, cuz life can't be all greatness.*

soooo....
this past week or so has been verrry eventful.
I tend to believe in ying-and yang (no asian joke or anything), or that there's a balance in life between everything. I've had the BEST week though, and i'm just waiting for it to all crash down.
**** I got into the LAS (leader advancement scholar) program at CMU, so i will definitley be going to central. This means that in combo with my diverstiy schoalrhip to there, half of my college for the next four years is already payed for. And the LAS program has soooo many benefits and i'm so excited that i was 1 in 14 our of 1300 to get it!!!!!!!*********
and i'm also superrrr pumped for MASC states this weekend! i get to see all my favorite people, but it's gonna be bittersweet cuz it will be my last. oh well. we'll make the best of what we've got.

welll.....break was pretty much amazing.
everyday was extremely fun and i loved every minute of it.
sat.sun.mon- was in the chi-town suburbs visiting with family, which was fun and i haven't seen them in forever, so it made it even better.
tues.- school/stuco stuff :\ and then baby$at
wed.- COLDPLAY CONCERT, which was amazinnggg
thurs.-NASC reunion at somerset. got to see some awesome kids that i haven't seen since summer. i forgot how much i missed them.
friday- met with some kids from camp at caribou and had fun. then left for state.
fri.sat.sun.- was at MSU and stayed with dawners and paulkie, which was ultra fun. had some new experiences, but all of it was fantastic. met some cool new people. and i decided i just want high school to be over.
oh, and i found out that i got picked for round 2 of the CMU leadership advancement scholarship. 100 kids outta 1300 is pretty damn good i think. now i just need to be in the last 40. so i'll be up at cmu march 18th. yay. more college-ing!

welllll....
sunday night was crazzzy
-went to the green day concert with tree, kaitlin, sara, amy, and pat hitched a ride. AWESOME concert!
-then went to a late night taco bell drive thru
-and back to tree's house to spend the night, but we fouhgt in the basement until past 1. then woke up at 6 and went to school. and oh it was grand :)

well, today was the first day of school. alright i guess. kinda scared of this year totally being wayyyy too hard, esp. with ap psych, eng, us, and gov. however, i have my fantastic friends to get me through it all :)
last night we had dinner at my house, an end of summer dinner, and we all dressed up. here's the pics from the night of fun. ha. (yea, guys, i'm blogging about you).

i don't even know how to put it into words...
as we sit here in our houses, on our computers, we complain about gas prices being so high. Yes, that's a problem, but it's nothing compared to not even having $3 to your name. not having birth records, bank statements, family memories, family members, food, or shelter. None of us know the extent of Katrina, but we all need to take a step back and think about more than what is directly in front of us. Yes, we see the gas prices rising to $3.50 a gallon, but it shows a lot more about the near future of our economy. We're going to do a lot as a school and community, so seriously stop thinking about yourself for a second, and instead of buying the $200 shoes, think of how you can help to cloth someone who has been living in the same clothes for days, or how you can help to send doctors to the south. 1/4 of our country just got wiped out, and we know there will be economic reprocussions, so hell, everyone's going down sooner than later. Why not help out while we can. Just something to think about.

so, i haven't updated in awhile so i figured i'd clue you into what's been going on in my life as of now.
- i ran into a mailbox while backing out of kaitlin's driveway. banged up the car pretttty bad, so i'm grounded from the car until further notice, and i'm not allowed to park in driveways, and i have to pull through to park...when i can drive again.
- SPRING BREAK PLANS ARE A GO! i'm so excited. me, tree, kaitlin, amy, kristina, and noelle are gonan have the most amzing time ever in Bonita Beach!!!!
- stuco is kinda freaking me out again, but it'll all be good in the end.
- my summer reading is going....let's just say: not well. i do have some done though.
- i'm excited for SENIOR YEAR, but things are so good now, and i just don't want for them to end.
- green day concert in 21 days!!!!
this summer has been the best yet, and i doubt that another summer will ever replace it.

camp was amazing this year...
i learned a lot about myself, others, and the world around us. i think the best part of it all is that i discovered it myself, with the help of some amazing people along the way. (aka--level 3, mary chiambretti, kris, bianchi, etc) and i love them all. it's mind-blowing to think that it was my last year at camp as a camper, and i can't get over the fact that it has changed my life without me even knowing it. it's 2 days after the fact, and i still can't get over the fact that it's over forever...at least as a camper... jc application, yes, that'll be filled out for sure. well, since you can't really understnad the impact masc has had on ur life until you've expereinced it full throttle, i guess i'll shut up. why waste words on explaining the unexplainable.
* to my friends: i don't think i tell you that i love you enough, and i think i assume that you all know i love you. but this time i thought i would spell it out. i really do love each and every one of you, and all for different reasons. Thank you for putting up with me over the years, and that's why i love you all.
